Consignment Sales Tips and Suggestions
- Get there early - beat the crowd in. Many sales take place when the kids walk in the door early that morning.
- Be completely set up; have all signage posted throughout the gym and facility with your selling table(s) full of merchandise.
- Showing what you have to sell - hang t-shirts from hangers anywhere possible. Tape t-shirts and pants to the wall.
- Display the merchandise as big and boldly as you can.
- Place a few matching items together to create an ensemble.
- Location - set up where the most foot traffic will be. In the gym if possible, right beside the concession stand, or wherever the players are camping out. Watch where players congregate - this is where you want to set up.
- Talkative sales staff- the people who work the store should be the happiest, friendliest people you can find. Kids like to talk to the sales staff - find someone who likes to talk to them.
