Registering For Both Sessions

Student-athletes may register for both sessions, if they would like to showcase their skills at multiple positions.  This is helpful for players who play at multiple positions (Ex: Setter with high school team and Libero with club team) and want to showcase their skills at more than one position during the event.  Participants may only perform at one position at each session.  Example: A player may register as a Setter for session one and a Libero for session two.  However, a player cannot register as a setter and libero at session one.

Other Guidelines
  • To attend BOTH sessions, you must register for each session separately.  Positions in each session are available on a first come, first served basis.  When all slots have been filled in a session, you can opt to participate in a different available position or attend a different session.

  • Student-athletes may not change their session nor selected position.  Please select your session and the position you will play carefully, as you will be unable to make changes once you complete the registration process.
  • The $115 registration fee, payable by Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Paypal and Discover, is refundable through October 22, 2018. After October 22, 2018, no refunds will be processed.
  • The information you enter into the registration form will be supplied directly to the coaches in attendance.  Please complete your player profile information carefully, as it will not be edited prior to print in the book.

Student-athletes will be able to select either or both of two scheduled sessions for the day. Both sessions have the same format, including position play, team play and a Collegiate Recruiting Seminar.  The duration of each session is approximately 4.25 hours.

What makes our showcase unique is our responsiveness to the needs of our student-athletes as well as collegiate coaches. In considering their requests and needs, we have developed a format that allows for the most effective and efficient use of time for all participants. In order to accomplish this, our staff includes highly trained experts in the volleyball community from both the eastern and western regions of the state of North Carolina and Virginia. Our Court Coaches provide guidance and instruction on the court during drill work and court play. Our Skill Evaluators evaluate each student-athlete to identify strengths, weaknesses and overall skill level, relative to the all participants.
Position Play
During this portion of the showcase student-athletes will be divided into groups based on their registered position. Our Court Coaches will guide the student-athletes through a series of drills that are specific to their position.
Team Play
During this portion of the showcase all student-athletes will be assigned to a court, based on their skill level as determined by their evaluation. Student-athletes may participate on multiple courts during this time, depending upon their actual performance during the sets.
Collegiate Recruiting Seminar
Each year we strive to provide student-athletes and their families with valuable information to assist them with the transition from high school to college. Whether they participate in collegiate athletics or not, we believe all high school student-athletes and their parents should be informed about the resources and opportunities available to them. Considered one of the most valuable experiences of the day, our Collegiate Recruiting Seminar provides insight into the college recruiting process from the eyes of college coaches. Typical topics of discussion include: what college recruiters want to see, how recruiters select players, the most effective ways to communicate interest to colleges, a day in the life of a college player, biggest mistakes of first year college athletes. The Collegiate Recruiting Seminar typically includes three NCAA Volleyball Coaches from Division I, II and III schools. This panel of college coaches will answer questions from parents and student-athletes in attendance.  Please note, the NCAA has changed the recruiting calendar for Division 1 schools, so unfortunately, no D1 coaches will be able to attend the 2018 Showcase.

The purpose of our showcase event is to connect coaches from the NCAA, NAIA, Junior Colleges and Community Colleges to high school student-athletes, by providing an opportunity for players to perform in front of college recruiters. Each year we host approximately 320 student-athletes and 50-75 volleyball coaches at the event. While we primarily host student-athletes from the south, we have had participants travel from as far away as Hawaii, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Florida. We are pleased to host student-athletes from anywhere in the world.
