I was born and raised in Sterling, Alaska, where I enjoyed hiking, cross country skiing, running, and playing basketball or any other sport with my older brother and sister. I spent many summer days riding my bike to the gas station to get ice cream and then down to the river to watch the crazy tourists try to catch salmon. I moved to Monticello, Indiana with my mom when I was 14 years old to reconnect with family and begin high school. I ran cross country and track, and played basketball. I received my undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from the University of Indianapolis where I enjoyed playing many intermural sports, my favorite being flag football. I met my husband my sophomore year and in the summer of 2012 we picked up and moved to Greensboro, NC so I could get my graduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I received my degree in Applied Neuromechanics (Sports Med.) in May of 2014, from there I worked some PRN shifts as a certified athletic trainer, one of them being for my friend and Carolina Phoenix women’s tackle football teammate Kris Britton. Each time I worked a showcase Kris would ask, can I put you down for the next one? And there my introduction with Lucky Dog began. In 2015, I worked at Westchester Country Day School full time as the Athletic Trainer, a teacher, and the Director of Student Heath. In the summer of 2016 Kris approached me with a full time opportunity to work with the amazing Lucky Dog team. I am truly blessed and honored to work with such amazing people every day who care about what they do, and doing things the right way. I cannot wait to see where this journey to become the #1 volleyball company in the nation takes us, both as a company and a family.
