Doors open at 7:00 AM, play begins at 8:00 AM.

Tournament is power pooled, and all teams have the opportunity to win gold. Tie breakers are played if teams are tied in both matches AND sets only. Three playing divisions with competitive match-ups in each wave.

Final schedule will be posted in AES closer to the event date – tentatively January 27th!

Awards

Each age division will crown a champion.
Teams finishing 1st and 2nd places will be awarded a team award along with individual awards.

This tournament is NOT Stay-to-Play.
We are happy to partner with Traveling Teams® to assist teams traveling to stay in Hampton!

Traveling Teams® works with us to secure discounted room blocks at a variety of tournament-approved hotels close to the convention center. All teams that require hotel rooms will be sent a booking link for the event after they have officially registered and been accepted. However, teams and families are not required to book through any specific agency.

Spectator Admission

Tickets must be purchased online before the tournament.
QR codes will be available to scan and purchase tickets onsite using your mobile phone, however all ticket sales are online. There will not be a box office to take payment at the facility.

We strongly recommend purchasing your spectator tickets before arrival to ease the flow of traffic on Saturday and Sunday.

Tickets are available for single-day or weekend admission. Be sure to confirm the ticket you are purchasing includes the date or multiple days you plan to attend!

Facial recognition entry will be implemented for faster, smoother check-in. Please purchase your ticket online in advance to ensure an easy process. Children ages 6 years and under are free.

College Coaches

MAPL is using University Athlete (UA) to provide electronic recruiting rosters and schedules in their easy-to-use University Athlete Recruiter app. Log into your UA account to purchase the event packet 1-2 weeks prior to the event.

DIVISION 1 SCHOOLS

Athletes/Parents

MAPL is using University Athlete (UA) to provide electronic recruiting rosters to college coaches. College coaches use the UA mobile app at the event to find and evaluate athletes with the custom schedule feature. They upload their work to their online account and manage recruits from there.

UA obtains their rosters directly from AES. Sometimes there can be errors in the rosters, but your free UA Athlete profile will always overwrite incorrect data. Log into your free UA Athlete profile 1-2 weeks before this event and check two things:

1. That you are listed in the roster (on the Roster tab)
2. That the following critical information is correct: graduation year, scholarship status, email, and phone number

List of colleges attending will be updated closer to the event date!

What Coaches Love

Recruiters enjoy MAPL events as they occur on non-holiday weekends, offer a high level of competition featuring mixed age levels and a power pool format, and extend great coach hospitality. The feedback every year is overwhelmingly positive. We make it easy and fun for college coaches to see the best competition on the Eastern Seaboard.

Outside food and drink are not allowed. Concessions will be open. Personal beverage containers are permitted. 

Coolers, large bags, stadium chairs, animals (excluding service animals), weapons, tobacco, and e-cigarette products are not allowed inside or outside of the facilities: including lobby, playing venue, and sidewalks.

Team “camping” is prohibited. Portable music players are not allowed to be used inside the facility unless they are connected to headphones. “Warm-up music” broadcasted from a speaker or sound system is not allowed.

No tripods are allowed. A monopod may be used.

Ball handling and horseplay are not allowed outside of the playing area of the facility.

Volleyballs and Ball Handling

Lucky Dog Volleyball will have balls and carts available for check-out for teams that are flying to the event. Please email tournaments@luckydogvolleyball.com if you will need to check out balls, so we can have them available at your playing location.
